THE 2008 “CMO OF THE YEAR” AWARD
TThe global management consulting firm Booz & Company will host the third “CMO of the year” award on
24 September 2008 in Frankfurt/Main (Germany).
The “strategic marketer” of today combines a broad skill mix, managing
the entire portfolio of a company’s brand, engaging all functions
of the organization (not only communications), managing its product
and service portfolio and developing innovative pricing strategies
among others, leveraging a broad business perspective, cross-industry
experience and deep analytical skills.
To emphasize the importance of the marketing function in business
and to honor those marketers who have done a tremendous job in the
marketing arena, Booz & Company hosts this Pan-European award
for the third time. It is up to top marketing managers characterized
by innovative ideas or insistent and successful marketing. It reflects
the importance of strategic and operational leadership from the
marketing organization and its leader – today more than ever.
The participants are nominated by third parties only. A well-known
jury is composed of international CEOs and marketing experts from
renowned organizations and companies, marketing and business media
as well as Booz & Company. The jury will select the winner
through a four-step evaluation process.
